Marcos Flexa, born and raised in Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is an esteemed member of the Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Team. With a wealth of experience, Professor Marcos Flexa stands out as one of the most seasoned instructors in Holland.

As a 6th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, awarded by the legendary Carlson Gracie (1933 – 2006), Professor Marcos ‘Flexa’ is deeply rooted in the history of this martial art. Having served as the head coach of the renowned Carlson Gracie Academy in Rio de Janeiro for several years, he embarked on a journey across Europe and eventually settled in Amsterdam. Since then, for the past eight years, he has been imparting his knowledge and expertise, establishing a new academy in 2013. This new facility offers a more spacious training area, improved facilities, and a wide range of weekly classes.

Professor Marcos ‘Flexa’ stands among the highest-ranking black belts in Europe. Throughout his career, he has trained, competed, and taught alongside renowned figures in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His strong connection with his former teammates remains unwavering, and he frequently hosts seminars featuring famous Carlson Gracie black belts.
